Our healthy food creates healthy bodies and active minds. Kidz Kabin employs a full-time cook to provide breakfast, lunch and tea for nursery children and After School Club.
All food is freshly prepared on site in the purpose-built kitchen. We provide a well-balanced, healthy menu that is mainly vegetarian with white fish and salmon included in some dishes. Staff are supportive and encouraging to children trying new tastes, and always have an alternative on hand for children who are not keen on the first choice. Healthy snacks are provided in the morning and afternoon between main meals and water is of course freely accessible to all children throughout the day.
Allergies are treated with the upmost importance at Kidz Kabin, with allergy placemats, wrist bands and plates to ensure children intolerant to the main dish are given a suitable alternative. Our extensive knowledge of different allergies allows us to support parents and children in managing changes in diet.

Home made vegetable soup (varieties daily) are offered to children who prefer a light meal. However, the soup is offered in addition to the main meal (and not as a substitute) and is wholesome and full of goodness with a variety of root and other vegetables, and served with pasta, couscous or/and bread and butter.
Softer food is offered to the younger children and this will be on our daily sheet. Our cook makes delicious bakes for the children with fresh vegetables, lentils, pasta, couscous, etc.
We take the welfare of the children at Kidz Kabin very seriously, and with that in mind, we maintain a strict set of policies and procedures to safeguard children who have food allergies and intolerances.
Our chef, Derrick and his assistant, Alex freshly prepare all the food on site daily. Menus for the week are posted in reception and they also keep the ‘Kidz Kabin Food’ Facebook page up to date with photos and recipe ideas, which we invite you to join and comment on.

A variety of fresh fruit is offered for dessert each day as well as fromage frais or yogurt and fruit puree. Fruit includes: oranges, strawberries, bananas, apples, pears, mango, papaya, pineapple, blueberries, melon
