What Makes Kidz Kabin Special?

With a combined experience of over 30 years in the early years sector our management team have an exceptional understanding of the machinations of nursery life. Our nursery also works closely with schools and local children’s centres to ensure families are able to access appropriate support facilities. We also run talks on pertinent issues such as healthy eating, school readiness, behaviour management and more. We support the local economy by visiting places of interest, and providing employment opportunities. We are committed to providing the highest level of care and education, and invest unreservedly to achieve our goals.

Purpose-built settings, with inspiring design features

Kidz Kabin considers children’s need for space and discovery when developing our outdoor and indoor environments. With large open rooms and plenty of light, Kidz Kabin boasts distinct areas for each age group. We transformed a concrete playground at Fortismere into a plush year-round outdoor learning environment complete with a two-storey pod, mud kitchen, sand cave and stream

Highly qualified, multi-lingual staff working to high ratios

Our robust recruitment process ensures we take on dedicated, experienced and highly qualified staff. Across two settings alone, our staff speak 23 languages. 95% are qualified to a minimum of Level 3 in Childcare, and over a quarter hold higher education qualifications including Masters in Education and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). We employ extra staff across the nursery allowing us to run engaging activities in smaller groups throughout the day. This also alleviates the need to use agency staff – so you’ll always see a familiar face.

Our top management team has a hands on approach, meeting regularly with Room Leaders to support and share ideas. Additionally, they dedicate time within the rooms, to model inspiring practice involving children.

Creative Visiting Specialists

We have weekly visits from a variety of innovative specialists:

  • Yoga classes take children on themed journeys in small group sessions, introducing educational concepts in a fun and relaxing way.
  • A specialist Sports Education Company run sessions with children aged 2+, building core strength, whilst encouraging key social concepts of turn-taking and teambuilding.
  • Our ukulele teacher engages children of all ages through energetic, playful songs and rhymes. Older children also participate in structured learning, teaching them the basics of playing the ukulele. Kidz Kabin was featured in the November edition of Nursery World magazine promoting this lovely activity

Minibus & Adventurous Outings

We place great importance on outdoor learning with planned trips to places of interest including the Science and Natural History Museums, London Aquarium, Belmont Children’s Farm, and Paradise Wildlife Park. Trips to local parks, woods, library and more, are also part of our daily routine using our bespoke 17 seater minibus.

Dedicated Chef

After gaining experience in nurseries all over the world our highly qualified chef prepares interesting and nutritious meals on site each day. We also grow our own herbs and vegetables outdoors to encourage children’s involvement from seed to plate.
