Remy Bukenya (Deputy Manager) -
With over 5 years experience in Early Years, Remy joined Kidz Kabin at the start of 2015 to work in the Preschool room. With a mature and enthusiastic attitude, Remy has a natural flare to engage children in nursery life. Having completed both her Level 2 and 3 in Childcare, Remy is passionate about continually learning – working closely with the rest of the team to share and demonstrate inspiring practice.
Sylwia Lipska (Receptionist/Administrator)
Sylwia has worked as a nanny for 5 years and realised how much she enjoyed child development when she cared for her young nephew. Sylwia is gentle, fun and engages well with the youngest children, helping them to develop new interests and areas of learning. Whilst working full time at Kidz Kabin, Slywia completed her Level 3 at the start of 2014.
Karolina Dymek (Catering Assistant)
Level 2 in Food Safety & Hygiene from City Guilds, Barista Diploma & Diploma in Economics (Poland)
Before joining Kidz Kabin, Karolina worked in a vegetarian restaurant for 5 years and was promoted to manager during this time. Prior to this, she worked for a year in Social Services in Poland before moving to England. She joins Kidz Kabin full time working as catering assistant, ensuring safe distribution of food delivered from our flagship nursery as well as preparing tea and light snacks.
Peter Harris (Minibus Driver)
Following the investment in our very own minibus, Pete was recommended to us from a Kidz Kabin alumni parent. With over 15 years of experience driving minibuses, Pete is also more than used to being around Early Years children, with his wife running her own child minding business. Wonderfully friendly, Pete facilitates the many outings we make to local places of interest throughout the year.
BSc Hons Zoology and PGCE in Primary Teaching
Neil had a career of over 20 years in Social Housing before retraining as a Primary School teacher in 2005. He was a teacher at a school in North London for 8 years working in Years 1, 2, 3 & 4 before working for 2 years in an Early Years setting at an outdoor nursery with a forest school ethos. Neil is committed to developing the whole child with a particular emphasis on learning in an outdoor environment. Outside of work Neil enjoys travelling, music and has a love of the outdoors and nature and particularly enjoys fishing and bird watching.
Elzbieta Szlek ‘Ela’(Early Years Practitioner)
Level 3 Childcare
With 5 years of experience in Early Years, including nursery, Montessori and as a nanny, Ela describes herself as self-motivated, committed and caring. She demonstrates a clear passion for Early Years, working every morning at Kidz Kabin, and as a private nanny in the afternoons, a family for whom she has worked for several years. Ela delights in bringing new ideas to the nursery, exploring themes of the month to create exciting and engaging activities.
Jenna Mbaya Malela (Early Years Practitioner)
Early childhood studies
Following the completion of her Early Childhood Studies degree earlier this year, Jenna started at Kidz Kabin in September. During her studies, she has completed a number of placements and voluntary sessions in an array of primary schools and private nurseries in London and is now focussed on utilising her knowledge in a permanent role. With a patient, calm and positive attitude towards working with children, Jenna is a welcome addition to the team.
Lunch Time Supervisor
Nora joined Kidz Kabin team in April 2017 to support staff and children during lunch time. Prior to working at Kidz Kabin Nora was a childminder for 9 years which provided her with wide range of experience across different ages. Having two teenage boys herself, she is very passionate about children’s development, ensuring that they feel safe, secure and confident. She also worked as a project secretary for a large architectural firm in London. Nora is kind, friendly and patient person and she enjoys playing tennis, going for long walks, travelling, cooking and socialising in her spare time.
Aleksandra Mazur (Early Years Practitioner Apprentice)
Level 3 Early Years Educator (in training)
Aleksandra initially came to Kidz Kabin to work as a lunchtime supervisor, a role she took to quickly and confidently. Within a couple of months, it became clear that Aleksandra is an absolute natural with children and we were more than happy to support her desire to study and qualify as an Early Years Educator. Now working full time, Aleksandra is continually putting her formal studies into practice, to great effect. In her spare time, she counts reading, travelling and swimming amongst her hobbies.
Jenny Merrill - CACHE Level 3 childcare
A fresh face at Kidz Kabin but experienced in the early years sector, Jenny worked as a childminder for 5 years and in a playgroup for a further 5 years in addition to that. Self-described as happy and patient, Jenny’s hobbies include looking after her own children and following their interests in football and cheerleading. A hard worker who is warmly welcomed at Kidz Kabin.
Katie Bevan (Room Leader)
Level 3 CACHE Childcare
Katie has been working with children since she began volunteering 7 years ago in a range of nurseries, Montessori settings and primary schools. Having completed her level 2 in 2013 and level 3 in 2014, Katie originally joined the pre-school room at Pembroke Studios in May 2015. Following her excellent progress, we were delighted to offer Katie the opportunity to share her best practice and take on the Room Leader role for the Green Room at Fortismere, a position she took on with enthusiasm in September. Incredibly good natured, Katie is a natural in leading by example and she has already made an excellent impact at Fortismere. In January 2017, Katie will be beginning a Foundation Degree in Special Educational needs to further her knowledge.
Genevieve Tuffour (Early Years Practitioner)
Level 3 Pre School Practice
After completing her Level 2 in 1999, Gen has since completed her level 3 as well as numerous training programmes in literacy support, health & social care and leadership & management. She comes to Kidz Kabin after building up her experience in various roles including nursery nurse, room leader and deputy manager across the ages of Early Years over the last 10 years. A calm and tactful individual, Gen is a welcome addition to the team.
Fahima Hossain (Early Years Practitioner)
(Hons) Early Childhood studies
3 years of experience of working with children, aged 2-5 through placements and voluntary sessions, Fahima joined Kidz Kabin in November 2016. Qualified with a degree in Early Childhood Studies, Fahima has an excellent knowledge of the fundamental foundations of Early Years. Her creative streak is popular amongst the children, often leading arts and crafts sessions as well as open-ended imaginative play.
Rebecca Asare (Classroom Assistant)
Level 2 Childcare
Rebecca’s previous experience has been in a variety of settings including reception, year 1 and nurseries as well as in child-minding, working with children from 1-16. Calm and focussed, Rebecca is a ‘people person’ in the truest sense of the phrase. Her kind nature lends itself well to encouraging the more shy children to engage in nursery life, something which she is particularly passionate about as she enjoys helping children to explore things for themselves.
Masters in Teaching social sciences to secondary school age.
An experienced educator, Aitor started working at Kidz Kabin in June 2017, already having achieved a degree in history and a masters in teaching, Aitor’s extensive knowledge makes him a perfect match for Kidz Kabin. An enthusiastic and responsible teacher who enjoys helping children to develop all their potential through a kind and gentle approach, he is well liked by children and staff alike.
